Chris Deacon, Vice President of ArtSound FM, has
been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM). Announced by the Governor-
General yesterday in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List, the award is 'for service to
community radio through the ArtSound organisation'.
New Program - The Gershwin Project (posted on 9 May 2009)
Locally produced series about the life and music of composer George Gershwin presented by ArtSound Presenter Bill Stephens. Material for the series was drawn from the a vast archive of rare Gershwin material including sheet music, correspondence and recorded music owned by the private canberra collector Bert Whelan.
