Training Courses

ArtSound FM has a long history providing training for aspiring presenters and refresher courses for anyone wanting to get back into the game. ArtSound FM currently runs in-house training for members and presenters in the following areas:

Introduction to Broadcasting

A six week course (2.5 Hrs per week) designed to provide program production and presentation skills. This includes operation of broadcast panel and equipment, microphone technique, program production and overview of the broadcasting chain. The course equips people with the basics so that they can work with experienced broadcasters and gradually make the transition to full on-air presentation or production.

Interviewing Skills

A short course offered to presenters to provide skills in professional interviewing techniques for in-studio, pre-recorded and Vox Pop interviews.

Digital Editing and Production

Offered on an as-needs basis for those involved in technical production of programs, promos and audio services activities

ArtSound FM also regularly hosts radio courses run by the Australian Film Television and Radio School, Sydney. These courses are run using ArtSound FM facilities for individuals and community stations within the region.
